Bouquet of Roses and lilies

My friend brought me a lovely and huge glass pail filled with roses and lilies, and before they faded, I did this pen and ink sketch of the pail, finishing with a watercolor wash is places. Even though this did not take long, I did try to get the colors of the flowers. Even though I took many photographs of it too and will probably do some closeup of some of these flowers, it is so satisfying to paint them directly from life.
