Marigolds




The story behind this painting involves the school for the children of the Lakota Indian tribe. The school sent me seeds as a thank you gift for my donation. The marigold seeds which bore brilliant flowers lasted in my pot for months during the pandemic when I could not go out to get plants. I got to paint them from life. I sent them a picture of the painting and they wrote back to express their gratitude for sharing this art with them.
