Painting from Life
"Veronica and Eryngium"

I bought these two types of flowers, because I knew they would look just right in a still life painting. They were close in color but so different in shape, that I knew it would be challenging to paint, and I wanted to see if I was up to the challenge. I painted it under a different light, so the shadows on the vase show the source of light is from the right and I took this photo when the painting was done, but the light source is from the left.
