Plein air painting at a wedding

Mission Statue

I did this painting in my watercolor class of a scene at a mission. I placed the statue which is the main focus, just off center, and the lines of the tiles along with the dark arch lead the eyes right to it. The foreground planter and middle ground plants are done with less detail than the statue. There is a lot of negative painting in this piece.
